Tilodi Game Reserve

Our first stop in our 2007 African adventure was Tilodi Wilderness. A lovely game farm about 30 minutes from Bela-Bela (a town previously known as Warmbaths).

We spent the weekend there and had 3 wonderful game drives. They have most animals with the obvious exception of elephant and lion. We saw Rhino on two of the drives, as well as giraffe, zebra, warthogs and Tsetsebe.

Patrick had a close encounter with a Mozambican Spitting Cobra which resulted in the poor snakes untimely demise at the hands of a game ranger. Apparently they are very territorial and the area outside the Gents toilets wasn't a suitable place to be territorial about.

So here are some snaps taken at Tilodi:

And not the best but my favourite picture of Rhinos
