Up the west coast from Cape Town there is a delightful town called Lambert's Bay. It has lots of 'hats', a seaside holiday village, a fishing port, a port for diamond boats, home of a large Cape Gannet colony and it is home to one of the best placed road signs I have ever seen. They also have a wonderful restaurant on the keyside with a shale floor and fantastic food.

Diamond Boat
They use the giant hoses to suck diamond filled gravel off the sea bed.
The work is so hard that the divers only work underwater for 6 days a month.

Did they really mean to place this sign outside the cemetary?

Africa is home to some of the best signage in the world - at least, in my view it is. We were once given a book of photographs of different signs around the world, and this one really should go into it! It's right up there with the best.
