Canberra

Jenny, from England, way up North, is visiting us in Aussie, way out west!
So we packed her in a car and drove to the capital, Canberra, for the weekend. We saw a lot in two days! The old parliament building (with its secret peephole), the new parliament building, the tent parliament which looks like a squatter camp!, the war memorial, the National zoo and National Museum (we even saw Hancock's Basement doing publicity shots for their new album! They are nice guys so buy the album!)

It was a great weekend!

The travel plans for the next weeks are vast and varied, Sydney, Canberra again, Junee, Griffith, Phillip Island, Melbourne, Delhi, Jaipur, Ranthmbourne and Agra!!!

A little Monkey at the War Memorial

The view from the War Memorial across to Old Parliament House (White building in front) and New Parliament House (the one with the flag and grass roof behind)

Well what else is there to do but roll down the roof of parliament!

rolling down that grass hill looks like a whole lotta fun!! What I'd forgotten was that July and August are winter months for you... just doesn't seem right, somehow... Leith is so grown up!! And a handsome little monkey too ;o)
