Ayreshire Day

Yesterday I was able to delight in one of my favourite activities, spending time with my wonderful friend K and getting to grips with nature.
K has recently moved, with her family, onto a property outside of town. It is so beautiful there, with rolling hills and endless southern skies.

It is so wonderful to see her blossom in her new environment. She is a 'see it needs doing, so do it' kind of woman and her enthusiasm is contagious.
Yesterday saw us herding sheep in the 4x4, checking if we could save new born twin lambs, looking to see if any of the flock were in trouble as well as catching and pinning down a ewe to help in an almost failed delivery.
(Not my mothers perfect day, hey Mum!)
K was an absolute hero! Sitting on the ground, gloves on, feet up against the backside of the ewe, hands firmly gripped onto the lambs front feet assisting it out with all her might! One live delivery later we were back in the car and off.... Whoo Hooo!

So thanks for an amazing day and a lunch worthy of a Michelin star!
