It seems wrong to be blogging while Madeleine is still missing. I have decided that the banners will stay in place until she is found, which hopefully will be very soon. The most recent sighting of her was in Morocco and the general feeling is that she is not in Portugal anymore.

If you do see a child with the distinctive right iris it is beyond me why people don't stop the child and call the police... Keep a copy of the banner in your wallet to refer to and to show the attending officer. I think it is better that a few children and their parents are inconvenienced and that we find her! Surely that is better than thinking you have seen Madeleine but letting her vanish again for fear of it being the wrong child?

Why am I keeping this here when hundreds of other children go missing each day? Simply, Because this is more personal to us. We know Leicester! We used to be based at the same hospital Dr McCann works at. We have a child of a similar age.... It could easily be us......
